Using a unique, integrated, hands-on approach, our staff works with the Owner and all other involved parties to deliver an optimally performing building. 
Efficiency Commissioning LLC has developed highly efficient processes to streamline the commissioning process and provide a better product to you without increasing the cost. Our main services include, but are not limited to, Commissioning, Recommissioning, Retro-Commissioning, and ​Ongoing Commissioning.

Commissioning

Commissioning is a quality control process completed in new building or building renovation projects that identifies issues as early as possible so their solutions have minimal impact to schedules, budgets, and quality of deliverables. These issues range from incorrect installation and access issues during the construction phase, to potential improvements during the design phase, and warranty items during the occupancy phase.

Retro-Commissioning

Retro-Commissioning is a process which, using a whole-building systems approach, identifies operational improvements to increase occupant comfort and save energy. Another term for Retro-Commissioning is “Existing Building Commissioning”, and it is performed on buildings that have never been commissioned before.

Recommissioning

Recommissioning involves revising facility operating systems and is traditionally completed 3-5 years after initial occupancy. It investigates, analyzes, and identifies operational and maintenance enhancements to ensure continued high performance. Recommissioning optimizes building performance to new standards.

Ongoing Commissioning

​Ongoing Commissioning is an innovative way to manage buildings. Also called “Continuous  Commissioning”, it improves energy efficiency and helps to solve issues before problems appear. Part of this service includes leaving monitoring equipment and trending software connected to the buildings, which allows for continuous tracking and reporting. This also involves keeping staff adequately trained and continually identifies new opportunities, keeping the building operations held to the most current performance standards.
